Busselton Jetty - Underwater Observatory Tour

The Underwater Observatory is located 1.75km along the Busselton Jetty. Tour includes return train ride and a 40-minute tour of the Underwater Observatory with guide.

Ride the electric Jetty Train 1.7km across the waters of Geographe Bay, and let our experienced guides lead you through the Underwater Observatory, descending 8 metres beneath the water’s surface to view some of the 300 individual marine species in their natural habitat through eleven viewing windows at various levels within a 9.5 metre diameter observation chamber.

Each year during autumn and winter, the Leeuwin Current brings a narrow band of warm water down the Western Australian coastline. This warm southerly current is responsible for introducing an incredibly diverse array of tropical and sub-tropical species, resulting in the creation of Australia's greatest artificial reef on the piles of the Jetty.
